Sales & Service Specialist
Responsible for implementing strategies to increase Company sales and profits while providing premier customer service to the customers, distributors and field sales people. Engaging with customers professionally in outbound and inbound communication by telephone, email and/or internet, or in person to provide accurate information about OTB’s products or services. Accurately process customer orders and up-sell customer whenever possible, quotes, returns, and resolve complaints efficiently and correctly with extraordinary attention to detail.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following:
Engaging in outbound and inbound phone calls to new and existing customers.
Grow OTB revenue from new and existing accounts
Generate new qualified customer leads
Prepare and provide quotes and follow up to close potential sales
Sell and up-sell OTB new and complementary products and value added services.
Obtain credit information about prospective customers.
Assist customers with setting up new accounts online and resetting passwords
Cultivate and maintain relationships with new customers and existing customer
Customer support representative for existing and new customers
Order entry and resolve queries utilizing the ERP system.
Recommend products to customers, based on customer needs and interests.
Resolve customers' service or billing complaints by performing activities such as exchanging merchandise, refunding money, or adjusting bills.
Respond to telephone calls, emails, and web inquirers quickly and in a professional manner.
Respond to prospects and customers in “real time” for price quotations, order placement, adjustments and cancellations.
Work closely with warehouse staff in a friendly and professional manner
Work with purchasing and marketing department to fulfill customer/company needs
Assist accounting department with past due accounts
Resolve customer service issues with empathy and a professional manner while still taking OTB’s best interest to heart
Ability to work in team environment with constant attention to accomplishing department and company goals
Practice integrity in customer, vendor and co-workers relationships
Strive for continuous improvement in sales and service
Other duties may be assigned.
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Education and/or Experience:
College degree and/or a minimum of 5 years experience in direct sales and/or distributor sales
Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written.
PC skills a must.
