Assist in the
start-up, commissioning, and testing of
machinery
As the experience of
the incumbent grows, this position will also be
responsible for facilitating the development of
programs (software) and processes (manuals)
whereby customers can help themselves implement
best practices for preventative maintenance and
spare parts.
Experience should
include system architecture design, programming,
simulation, checkout, and occasional startup
assistance.
Must enjoy hands-on
work and active problem solving.
Some travel
required.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates
must have a BS in Engineering (Electrical, Controls
or Mechanical) with emphasis on design
electro-mechanical systems and controls.
Minimum of seven (7)
years of experience in motion control, using
programmable controllers for pneumatic and
electro-mechanical devices.
Experienced in
Allen-Bradley PLCs, Ladder Logic, and Allen-Bradley
HMI development. Carefully planned and structured
computer/PLC program development, a must.
Education:
To
perform this job successfully, an individual should
have knowledge of Project Management software;
Microsoft Office Suite XP, email and AutoCAD.

MECHANICAL DESIGN
ENGINEER - Cleveland, Ohio
Provide engineering support for existing equipment
and systems. Provide engineering support for
laboratory, pilot and production activities within
the organization. Work in collaboration with the
Chief Technical Officer, Operations Manager and
Sales personnel to develop and define new equipment
specifications and cost estimations to design and
develop new equipment and systems and provide all
required documentation for all equipment and
systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Evaluate, design,
and select appropriate pumping systems, pump
components, heat transfer systems, electrical
control systems and components that will
successfully handle a given media and produce a
predetermined pressure and flow rate.

Evaluate, design and
select appropriate Controlled Flow Cavitation
(CFC) system components that will perform
specific functions as dictated by the customer.
-
Evaluate and design
complete CFC systems that will perform to
pre-determined specifications as dictated by the
customer.
-
Provide costing for
components and complete systems as needed for
quotation or project estimation purposes.
-
Ensure all system
designs are safe and in compliance with all
applicable safety, electrical, OSHA guidelines,
and mechanical standards.
-
Create accurate
SolidWorks three dimensional engineering
drawings, compile accurate parts list, BOM,
compile all documents required to ensure
reproducibility and serviceability for all CFC
systems and components, and be able to generate
detail component drawings that will be used for
the manufacture of custom components.

Create product
manuals that will include complete safety
warnings and precise operation and maintenance
instructions. Manuals will also include drawings
and parts lists that will enable the customer
and/or Company to order spare parts by
reference.

Select and qualify
vendors for all components including custom
machined and fabricated items.
-
Develop an
engineering library that will contain all vendor
catalogs and specification sheets as well as an
organized and maintained collection of all
engineering drawings.
-
Effectively manage
multiple projects to be completed on time and on
budget. Develop, maintain and submit a weekly
progress report that will reference each open
project listing status and projected completion.

Education and/or Experience:
-
Bachelor of Science
in Mechanical Engineering (B.S.M.E.) or
equivalent documented experience with five years
of experience and a proven track record in the
area of mechanical design and development.
Background must include experience with rotating
and reciprocating equipment, electrical control
devices, PLC’s, and fluid mechanics to develop
system designs that are accurate and provide for
seamless system assembly.

Proficient in the
use of SolidWorks and Microsoft Office Suite
(Word, Excel, Outlook,) and ability to learn new
software systems adopted by the company. Must
be able to communicate and collaborate
effectively throughout the organization to
achieve company goals and expected results.

Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook,
Power Point, and database management software. Type
and data entry at 60 to 70 wpm.
